EBCO Celebrates Topping-Out Milestone for Tempo by Hilton in Tucson
EBCO General Contractor proudly celebrated a major construction milestone on March 10, 2026, with a topping-out ceremony for the Tempo by Hilton hotel currently rising in Tucson, Arizona.
Held at the project site within the visionary Uptown development, the event brought together approximately 250 guests, including project partners, team members, and industry collaborators. The celebration marked more than just structural progress—it honored the people and partnerships driving the project forward.
A Milestone Worth Celebrating
The topping-out ceremony reflected the strong sense of collaboration behind the Tempo by Hilton project. Guests enjoyed a barbecue lunch, participated in raffles and giveaways, and connected with fellow contributors who have played a role in bringing the development to life.
A representative from Hilton attended the event and noted that it was one of the most impressive topping-out celebrations they had experienced—highlighting the energy, pride, and teamwork shared across the entire project team.

About the Project
The 144-room Tempo by Hilton hotel is part of Uptown, a transformative two-million-square-foot urban village located just west of the Catalina Mountains. Once complete, Uptown will feature a dynamic mix of retail, dining, office space, residential living, and hospitality.
Developed by Bourn Companies and designed by Mayse & Associates, the project also includes collaboration with Studio 11 Design, Valencia Hotel Collection, and Stovelight.
The hotel itself is designed to serve as a vibrant destination, featuring:
- Ground-floor retail and dining
- Flexible meeting and gathering spaces
- A 4,000-square-foot pool deck
Construction is currently progressing toward a scheduled opening in 2027.
